Our History
Concerned about the lack of available drilling data—such as electric logs, scout tickets, and mud logs—a group of geologists founded the Library in 1970 to preserve critical information that might otherwise have been lost. Their vision created a lasting resource that benefits consultants, major and independent operators, and the broader energy industry.
