Preserving the Past.Powering the Future.

Since 1970, the Petroleum Data Library has been an essential resource for oil and gas professionals seeking historical and specialized data.

Conveniently located in Tyler, Texas—the heart of East Texas—our facility maintains comprehensive archives primarily covering Districts 5 and 6, along with significant resources extending into District 3, Northern Louisiana, and Southern Arkansas. Our extensive collections feature unique well logs, mud logs, core reports, DST reports, scout tickets, and historical production records.

Explore our growing digital archive, that began in the early 2000's, and conveniently search and download well logs and scout tickets anytime, from any location. Enhance your research through partnerships with our Reciprocal Libraries, utilize direct links to Railroad Commission (RRC) data from our extensive database, or reserve our well-equipped conference room for your professional meetings.

Support the preservation of vital geological data by becoming a member or donating data to the Petroleum Data Library or supporting our mission. All donated documents are carefully scanned into high-quality TIFF images for long-term preservation and meticulously cataloged into our searchable online database.
